Thank you for checking out Loganet's HIGH-SPEED INTERNET service!
Benefits of using broadband from Loganet over legacy, wired products such as DSL
+ Loganet delivers high-speed Internet to you completely free of phone lines. Talk on your phone and surf at the same time, or don't have a phone line, talk on your cell phone, and still use the Internet!
- With DSL, you have to continue to pay for a phone line in addition to your DSL and Internet service - even if you don't want the phone service.
+ Using Loganet's broadband, you are free to choose voice over ip services such
as Vonage for your phone service.
- With DSL you still have to pay for legacy phone service in addition to DSL and Internet service
(This is a HUGE plus. Using the above example, with Loganet for broadband and Vonage for phone service, your total monthly bill for high-speed Internet, basic phone service, and all local and long-distance phone service to the US and Canada would cost only $63.44 per month. No hidden fees or additional surcharges (ever take a look at your phone bill and see all those additional charges? Those are a thing of the past with Loganet.)
Compare this with basic phone service (about $30.00), DSL (about $37.95), any combination of "super saver" package, and you'll see how quickly the savings pile up. Your annual savings for a home could approach $500 - $700 a year; for a business the savings would exceed $1000.00 annually.)
+ Loganet has a range of nearly fifteen miles from one of our many access points
- DSL is limited to 18,000 wiring feet, and only if you have quality phone line. Service quickly degrades as you approach this short length limitation
+ Loganet provides FREE virus scanning of email and attachments for viruses
at no extra charge. We also block much of the spam coming into our mailserver
so you will not be inundated with junk mail. This spam protection is optional
for you, but is offered at no extra cost.
- You pay extra for these basic services if you use DSL (and dialup) from the phone company
+ We currently cover approximately 80% of Harrison County and are adding coverage every month.
- Don't try this with DSL. :)
+ If you have a problem with Loganet, help is minutes away
- You have to install your DSL equipment yourself. If you have problems and expect someone to come to your home or business to help, you'll have to call on the person who installed it.
+ Loganet is a locally, family-owned company. When you call for help you will
talk to an owner of the company who sincerely cares about you and wants to help.
Installation costs vary by length of service agreement. The following options are available:
| 36 Month | $ 79.00 |
| 24 Month | $ 149.00 |
| No agreement | $199.00 |
This includes all of the typical installation of parts and initial configuration of your computer or router. Unlike packages such as DSL, we come to your home and install everything for you.
Important Note: Installation charges do not include extra mounting hardware (rarely if ever necessary). Installation costs may vary based on location, however it is extremely rare that installation cost will exceed the above rates, and we'll let you know in advance if this happens. And even if, in the unlikely event this were to occur, the additional cost is minimal.
Monthly Service Rates (remember: These do not require a phone line at all)
| 384Kbps | $ 29.95 |
| 512Kbps | $ 35.95 |
| 1,000Kbps | $ 39.95 |
| 1,500Kbps | $ 49.95 |
| 2,000Kbps | $ 69.95 |
| 3,000Kbps | $ 89.95 |
| 5,000Kbps | $159.95 |
Unlike with other broadband companies, with Loganet you do NOT have to pay for a year in advance! However if you do, you will receive an extra month FREE!
While these prices may at first glance seem higher than what you are used to, when broken down and analyzed you are able to see the considerable value and advantage in using this service.
Let's look at three examples. Pay particular attention to Example Three:
Example One:
A residential customer that has a second phone line for their Internet use pays
about $20.00 per month to the phone company for that line, and about $18.00
per month for their Internet service. This is for (if you have a good phone
line) 48k connection speeds - for a total of $38.00 per month for the extra
phone line plus Internet service.
If you use 256k broadband service from Loganet, you will have at least six to twelve times the speed of dialup, but will actually pay less per month than you are now! Our broadband (unlike DSL) does not use phone lines.
Example Two:
Businesses will realize even greater savings. Currently, business phone lines
are roughly $55.00 per month and climbing. Add $18.00 to that for Internet service
and you're paying at $73.00 per month. So, for a $37.00 per month DECREASE in
what you are being charged currently, you are looking at getting more than six
times the bandwidth! And you can network as many PCs together as you like and
still pay only $35.95! For businesses with multiple phone lines connected to
multiple computers using dialup, your annual savings could be over $1000.00
(one thousand dollars)!
Example Three:
Using Loganet's broadband, you are free to
choose voice over ip (VoiP) services such as Vonage (www.vonage.com) for your
phone service and NOT have to pay for phone lines in addition to your Internet
service.
With DSL you still have to pay for legacy phone service in addition to DSL and Internet service
(This is a HUGE plus. Using the above example, with Loganet for broadband and Vonage for phone service, your total monthly bill for high-speed Internet, basic phone service, and all local and long-distance phone service to the US and Canada would cost only $63.44 per month. No hidden fees or additional surcharges <ever take a look at your phone bill and see all those additional charges?> Those are a thing of the past with Loganet.)

And you have our word on that.
