My comical little
Butterscotch Call Ducks.
In the summer of 2010, I stumbled upon
one of the top Call Duck Breeders here in the United States,
Dennis from Independence Iowa. This is where I found my first
pair of Butterscotch Call Ducks, the female is named Mamie and male is
named Little Ray.
I have found my call ducks to be the
most comical waterfowl I have ever seen. My little
girl duck Mamie, will quack as loud as she can every time she hears the
back door on the house close. As if to say, are you
coming to take care of me. Of all the breeds of ducks
I have seen in my lifetime, I would have to say call ducks need some
water to splash around in, everyday. Even when the
temperature is 10 ` outside, my little call ducks jump right in a fresh
pan of water and swim around. Amazingly, they never have
one wet feather.
Sold out for 2011, we expect another
great year in 2012.

New addition to the Butterscotch Call Ducks, new young drake that went
to the Iowa State Fair in 2011. He placed 1st, with Best of
Variety !! He is very type and with great coloring . I believe
you should always breed up and that is what this little guy will do.

Butterscotch Duck, this is the female of course.

A nice 30 degree day, enjoying some
sunshine. Sunshine and fresh air make for healthy ducks.

A nice warm place out of
the wind, looks like a good place to build a nest.

Are you looking at us?
Call ducks love some fresh
water everyday, no matter what the temperature is outside, they jump
right in for a nice little swim.
The oil on their feathers
keeps them from getting wet and helps to keep their feathers in top
condition.
