Established in 2011, the Woodbine Saddle Club Scholarship is an award given to a senior of high school that has been an active member of the Woodbine Saddle Club for a minimum of three years. Scholarships will be awarded annually and will not be limited by applicants, but limited by funds set aside by the WSC board. Qualified applicants will be reviewed by the WSC board of directors and officers and then be awarded to the graduating student(s) pursuing a post-secondary training/certification and/or degree program at their high school class day celebration.

Applicants must be seeking a career in at least one of the fields of discipline currently being offered by MCH Health System, Blair. October 7, 2011 Amount: $500.00 The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions that they will find on our site. Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. Deadline: March 31, 2011 There will be a $500 scholarship awarded to a boy, and a $500 scholarship awarded to a girl that is a graduating senior of Woodbine High School. Student must be in good standing in the school and community both scholastically and in citizenship. Scholarship awarded to those entering into the field of Education, Medicine, or Agriculture but not strictly in that order. Scholarship money will be paid to their school of choice at the end of their first semester of attendance. |

Deadline: February 4, 2011 The Iowa Credit Union Foundation is a non-profit whose mission is: To help Iowans build wealth, responsibility and independence. Two different scholarships are available: 1.)High school students planning to enter college, and 2. Nontraditional-aged and continuing education students. The high school scholarship competition will award a total of $3750. The first-place prize is $1500; second place is $1000, third place is $750 and fourth is $500. Qualifications: Graduate from H.S., Apply for scholarship based on need or academic excellence, plan to further education at a 2 or 4 year college or university, or an approved technical school. This scholarship will paid 1/2 after verifying attendance first semester, and 1/2 after verifying attendance at the start of 2nd semester. The scholarships are for one year, but college students may reapply each year. |

The scholarship must be used for educational costs, and the student must enter college in the fall of the school year for which the scholarship is given. Students are eligible to receive an award only once from their local cooperative. |
